The alloys used to produce Ampco Safety Tools have been approved by Factory Mutual Research Corporation for non-sparking use since 1937. Factory Mutual is an international, not-for profit organization engaged in scientific research and testing related to loss prevention. Factory Mutual is an OSHA Recognized Testing Laboratory for the testing and certification of certain equipment and materials. 

Product certification by Factory Mutual demonstrates that Ampco Safety Tools comply with recognized standards and assures you that our ongoing production is monitored for compliance with approval requirements and safety standards (www.fmglobal.com). Ampco Safety Tools also conform to the requirements of the Bureau of Indian Standards, the Mine Safety and Health Administration (www.msha.gov), and the National Fire Protection Association (www.nfpa.org).
